Healthline Networks Names Media Veteran Jim Warner to Board of Directors
SAN FRANCISCO - February 3, 2010 - Healthline Networks (www.healthline.com), a leading provider of intelligent health information services, today announced that Jim Warner has joined the company's Board of Directors. A media veteran with more than 30 years experience in digital media and marketing, television, and publishing, Warner joins Healthline as its Network reach is poised to reach 100 million online health consumers.
"Jim is a well-respected media executive with an impressive track record," said West Shell III, Chairman and CEO of Healthline Networks. "His experience with companies that successfully redefined their sector - Avenue A, CBS, HBO - is especially compelling, as Healthline looks to do the same in the online health space."
Warner's expertise in content programming, marketing, and distribution comes from having served as President of the CBS Television Network, President of CBS Enterprises, and VP of HBO Enterprises. After twenty years in television, Warner ran Third Floor Enterprises, a media consulting firm, and served as President of Primedia's magazine division, where he oversaw more than 250 consumer and business magazines, web sites, and trade show properties.
Most recently, Warner was a leader at Avenue A|Razorfish and its parent company, aQuantive, where he advised a number of Fortune 500 companies including Capital One, Verizon and Starwood Hotels, on digital marketing, advertising and web strategy. As Executive Vice President of Avenue A|Razorfish and a member of aQuantive's executive team, he helped build the company into one of the premier digital advertising and technology companies. The company was sold to Microsoft in 2007.
